Fly with Kate Bernard, CFII

I'm an FAA certified flight instructor for CAVU Aviation. I instruct in Cessna 172s, Piper Arrows, and soon an Ercoupe 415-C, mainly in Neenah and occasionally in Green Bay. I provide sport, private, instrument, commercial, CFI, and CFII training, flight reviews, and aircraft rental checkouts.

I have been flying since 1998 and instructing since 2005. I graduated from the University of Dubuque with a bachelor of science degree in flight operations. My experience includes a wide variety of aircraft and airports, long cross-country trips, flying in busy airspace, mountain flying, and advanced avionics systems. In the summer of 2007 I instructed for Able Flight, an organization which provides flight training scholarships for people with disabilities. I have a background in aircraft maintenance, avionics installation, and professional tutoring.

My number one goal is to teach safe flying, and number two is to help students have fun in the process. My students and I are no strangers to the hundred-dollar hamburger, real grass strips, and fly-in events. I strive to create training scenarios that not only teach the basic skills of flying, but teach the many fun uses of a pilot certificate.

If you might be interested in learning to fly with me, please take a moment to request a discovery flight or e-mail me with questions.
