09/04/02 First Flight of the New School Year - A new flight student rode along as I refamiliarized myself with the Cessna 172R. We did some river sightseeing and flew over Cassville, WI. 

09/05/02 Another Trip to Waukesha - A pilot friend accompanied me to Waukesha to visit my friends in college there. We had pizza and shared lots of laughs. It was dark when we took off from Waukesha and we got to see fireworks over Milwaukee. This is the third time I have flown from Dubuque to Waukesha.

09/08/02 552 Nautical Miles, SOLO - Today was one of my greatest personal accomplishments in flying. I flew my longest solo trip ever, by far: from Dubuque, Iowa to Duluth, Minnesota (basically from the southwest corner of Wisconsin to the Northwest corner). I logged 5.6 hours including about an hour of night time. While in Duluth, I toured Cirrus Design with my old flight instructor who now works there. We also went out to eat and went boating on Lake Superior. A very fun day.

09/16/02 Instrument Procedures - I flew with my regular instructor tonight for the first time since May, finally getting back into instrument training. I practiced arcs, holds, and approaches. It was a nice starry evening, however I rarely got to look!

09/24/02 Instrument Review - I had an flight lesson with not one but two flight instructors on board... talk about pressure!

 09/26/02 Hello Trinidad - I got to ride in the back of the school's new Trinidad for the first time as a student practiced landings with his instructor. A nice day, nice plane, and nice ride.
