12/13/02 Haven't Flown Since Nov. 17 - Sometimes I wonder: will I ever get my instrument rating? Now that I am sitting in Dubuque done with school, with nothing to do, this next week's forecast is nothing but rain and snow. However, last weekend when there was no way I could take flight tests due to several reasons, the weather was beautiful. Murphy's law! We're getting into the heart of hardly-ever-fly-season here. I will seize the next sunny day!

12/26/02 Merry Christmas to Me... - I saw practically the entire northern half of Wisconsin from the right seat of a Cirrus SR22 today, including the Apostle Islands, and it was very cool. It was a 2.7-hour flight.

12/31/02 ...And a Happy New Year - Today I rode along in a Cessna 150 with a friend and helped her get some practice talking to Air Traffic Control. We flew from my home airport of Clintonville WI (CLI) to Waukesha WI (UES) and back. The ride was about three hours in all. It was fun to hear controllers and pilots wish each other happy New Year!
