The Best Place to See the Sunset

Forget the beaches. I think the best place to see the sunset is in the air. This picture didn't turn out as well as I had hoped, but it shows a nice sunset off the tail of the 150.

Horicon Marsh Prescribed Burning

I could see this smoke for almost a hundred miles before I reached it. I was on a cross-country in the 150 at 5,500 feet above sea level. There was prescribed burning on Horicon Marsh. The smoke rose very high! This is one of the neatest things I have ever seen from the air!

Calm After the Storm

Rain and thunderstorms delayed some of the events at the annual NIFA Region V SAFECON flight team competition in St. Cloud, Minnesota. I finally got to do one of my events in the evening.
