May 1, 2005 I'm doing a little maneuvering, having a fun time going around the mountain peaks.

Mt. Shasta
May 1, 2005 We had to climb up into a hole in the clouds to get a better view. Here we are at about 7,000 feet, looking east. Mt. Shasta reaches an elevation of 14,162 feet (4316.6m). That's just 332 feet shy of the highest point in the contintental U.S. (Mt. Whitney, also in California). You can tell by its shape that Mt. Shasta is a dormant volcano.
