A New Chapter

The flight school I work for, Tailwind Flight Center, closed its Neenah location at Brennand Airport yesterday. I’ve been there ever since helping CAVU Aviation open a satellite location there five years ago. CAVU merged with Tailwind early last year, and the school continues to grow and change. Now we’ve moved into Outagamie County Regional Airport in Appleton to replace Maxair as the flight school. Platinum Flight Center is the new FBO. We’re sharing the former Maxair FBO building, which is undergoing major renovation right now.

This new flight school facility will be much different from what I’m used to. Tailwind Flight Center’s Appleton location will be a Cessna Pilot Center featuring multiple airplanes and instructors, a computer-based training program, a full-motion flight simulator, and lots of office and classroom space.
